Get started with your Social Retail® Beacons

First, ​let’s make sure we direct you to the correct configuration app!​

STEP 1: DOWNLOAD THE Social Retail Toolkit App


STEP 2: ACTIVATE BLUETOOTH ON YOUR SMARTPHONE

STEP 3: LAUNCH THE SOCIAL RETAIL TOOLKIT APP ON YOUR SMARTPHONE

STEP 4: USE YOUR SOCIAL RETAIL ACCOUNT CREDENTIALS (EMAIL / PASSWORD) TO ACCESS THE SOCIAL RETAIL TOOLKIT APP

STEP 5: ACTIVATE THE iBeacon DEVICE

Press and hold the “ON” button for 10 seconds to activate your iBeacon.

NOTE: This step is only needed for the following beacons:

• iBeacon Bluetooth, iBeacon Bluetooth Module, iBeacon Social Retail & iBeacon Programmable.

STEP 6: TAP THE “MY BEACONS” MENU

STEP 7: PLACE YOUR BEACON ON YOUR PHONE

STEP 8: PRESS THE “LINK NEW BEACON” BUTTON

STEP 9: YOUR BEACON SHOULD NOW BE DETECTED

Keep your beacon on your smartphone, give it a name, select the appropriate model and and press the “Link to the Cloud” button.

PS: Make sure only 1 beacon is placed on your smartphone

STEP 10: YOU SHOULD NOW SEE A CONFIRMATION MESSAGE THAT YOUR BEACON WAS SUCCESSFULLY LINKED

Congratulations! You’re all set.

STEP 1: DOWNLOAD THE BEACONCFG APP (OR BEACONSET APP on iOS), unless you’ve purchased the i4 and are using an iPhone, in which case, download LightBlue Explorer


STEP 2: ACTIVATE BLUETOOTH ON YOUR SMARTPHONE

STEP 3: LAUNCH THE APP ON YOUR SMARTPHONE

STEP 4: ACTIVATE THE iBeacon DEVICE

Press and hold the “ON” button for 10 seconds to activate your iBeacon.

NOTE: This step is only needed for the following beacons:

• iBeacon Bluetooth, iBeacon Bluetooth Module, iBeacon Social Retail & iBeacon Programmable.

STEP 5: SELECT THE iBEACON DEVICE IN THE APP

Place the iBeacon very close to your smartphone and Select the beacon with the correct reference on the App.

NOTE: This should be the beacon with the strongest signal. Make sure the beacon is very close to the smartphone throughout the process.

STEP 6: ENTER THE FOLLOWING PASSWORD - 987123

NOTE: Password Request window may not always be prompted.

STEP 7: UPDATE YOUR PARAMETERS

• UUID
• Major
• Minor
• Measured Distance
• Transmission Power
• Broadcasting Interval

STEP 8: IMPORTANT TAP THE “Reboot iBeacon” BUTTON AND ENTER THE FOLLOWING PASSWORD - minew123

You will be prompted with a message saying the iBeacon is disconnected which means the iBeacon reboot successfully and is ready to be used.

Congratulations! You’re all set.
